Wondering how you can go vegetarian and keep your taste buds happy? These days, it's as easy as replacing the meat in your favorite dishes with delicious meat substitutes. Check out this list of meal ideas for some culinary inspiration!

Breakfast

Cereal with soymilk, topped with sliced bananas
Oatmeal with fruit or maple syrup
Beans on toast
Toast (or toasted bagel) topped with margarine, jelly, peanut butter, or hummus
Scrambled tofu and potatoes or soy sausage
Fresh fruit with soy yogurt
Fruit smoothie

Lunch & Dinner

Bean burrito
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Avocado, lettuce, and tomato sandwich with Smart Bacon (vegetarian bacon)
Sub or wrap with Tofurky Deli Slices and the fixings
Veggie chili and mixed green salad or cornbread
Veggie burger (try it on a toasted bun topped with guacamole or sautéed onions)
Vegan BLT with vegetarian bacon and Vegenaise (vegan mayo)
Pasta with tomato sauce, veggies, and vegetarian meatballs like Nate’s Meatless Meatballs
Tacos with beans, rice, and veggies. Add avocado or fake meat crumbles for extra flavor!
Vegetable quesadilla or grilled cheese with soy cheese
Baked potato topped with salsa, baked beans, or chili
Soup: corn chowder, lentil, split pea, minestrone or barley – try some over rice
Fresh salad (add some zing by tossing in raisins, chopped deli slices, or diced apples)
Top Ramen vegetable soup and other instant vegetarian soups
Stir-fry vegetables and tofu (with rice, noodles, or other grain). Just add garlic, oil/water and soy sauce for extra flavor.
Falafel wrap with lemon tahini dressing
Cajun-style rice and beans
Roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes
BBQ tofu with corn on the cob
Vegetable shish kabobs
Soy cheese pizza topped with veggies and veggie pepperoni

Snacks

Chips and salsa (or guacamole)
Nachos with soy cheese
Pita bread and hummus
Celery, apples, or carrots topped with peanut butter
Popcorn
Pretzels
Sunflower or pumpkin seeds
Mixed nuts
Dried fruit like figs and raisins
Trail mix with nuts, raisins, and sunflower seeds
Potato wedges (sliced, baked, and topped with spices and/or salt)
